FIRST ASCENT LIKHU CHULI I
- Director & Edit: Eduardo Gellner
- DoP: Hans Hornberger
- Additional camera & climbers: Thomas Senf & Ines Papert
In late October German alpinist Ines Papert and Swiss alpinist and photographer Thomas Senf travelled to Nepal’s Khumbu Valley hoping to establish a new route up the North Face of Tengkangpoche (6487m), the difficult face first climbed in spring 2008 by the Swiss Ueli Steck and Simon Anthamatten. However, due to a general lack of ice the chosen line of ascent wasn’t in condition and Ines and Thomas decided to try to climb Likhu Chuli I with its 6719m through its majestic north face.
