
Another great challenge that we were able to master for DoP Patrick Orth. The film begins with a 2:20 minute long plan sequence in which the drone discovers a house coming out of the forest, circles around it and towards the end follows a motorcyclist into the forest at night.
The second mission for unconventional investigator Jan Kawig (Bernhard Conrad), criminal psychologist Annett Schuster (Kristin Suckow) and the Operative Case Analysis team. In the tranquil Thuringian Forest, four gunshots shatter the silence in the early morning. A black-cloaked figure flees from an Italian restaurant. The stranger races into the foggy thicket on a cross-country motorbike and disappears without a trace. When criminal psychologist Annett Schuster (Kristin Suckow) and profiler Jan Kawig (Bernhard Conrad) from the Erfurt Criminal Investigation Department are called to the scene of the crime, they are presented with a shocking picture: two married couples, including restaurant owners Ricarda and Toto Sardini, have been murdered in cold blood. Only their 16-year-old daughter Rebecca (Mariella Aumann) survived, but she can't remember anything. Is she the key to solving the murders? Apparently there are mysterious connections to the mafia. But the deeper the investigating team delves into the case, the more abysses the family history reveals ...
